In order to help improve your customer experience through simple data backed advice, Field Trip, a product of Union Code Inc., needs to work with your Slack, Google Chat, and Basecamp accounts.
We use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption and HTTPS (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure) for all cross-server communication to make sure your personal data stays personal.
What personal information do we collect?
Field Trip currently collects basic information from your Slack, Google Chat, and Basecamp profiles. Field Trip does not store any messages or account activity from you or your team in any channel.
What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect may be used in one or more of the following ways:
- To improve Field Trip and the Slack integration
- To improve Field Trip and the Google Chat integration
- We are always improving our products and any information we gather will be used to help improve the customer experience for Field Trip. If you ever have any questions or feedback please let us know.
- We will do everything we can to make sure you are happy with Field Trip. Any data that we collect will help us identify issues in our services or improve our communication.
- If Field Trip is changing, we want to let you know. We will reach out to you with details on what is changing and how it will affect you. We can also reach out to see how you are using Field Trip.
Note: Every email we send will have a simple unsubscribe link, so if you don't want to hear from us, you don't have to.
What don't we use your information for?
We will never share, disclose, sell, rent, or otherwise provide your information to other companies for the marketing of their products or services.
How do we protect your information?
All Field Trip data is encrypted using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)/TLS (Transport Layer Security) when transferred between our servers and your browser. Whenever data is sent, it is transferred using HTTPS (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure). We also encrypt and safely transfer all data between our internal services.
All Field Trip data is backed up daily. The backups are redundantly stored across multiple facilities and multiple devices in each facility via Amazon S3. Please refer to the Amazon S3 information page for more details.
All credit card transactions are processed using secure encryption and we never store your credit card information.
Even with our precautions, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We do everything we can to protect your personal information and will contact you if there is ever an issue with your information security.
Cross Border Information
Field Trip uses third party services, such as Amazon AWS, to improve the experience for our customers. These partnerships may result in the transfer of personal information from one country to another within the limits and subject to the requirements of applicable laws. Whenever personal information is transferred outside of the country, it will be processed in accordance with the principals of this policy and privacy legislation.
Access to your personal information
You retain all rights to your personal information and can access it anytime. In addition, Field Trip will take reasonable steps to allow you to correct or delete information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Removal of personal information
Field Trip will keep personal information only as long as it remains necessary or relevant for the identified purposes or as required by law. Field Trip will maintain reasonable and systematic controls, schedules and practices for information and records retention and destruction which apply to personal information that is no longer necessary or relevant for the identified purposes or required by law to be retained. Such information will be destroyed, erased or made anonymous.
To permanently remove your user and team account data from Field Trip's database and third party services, please e-mail email@example.com from the e-mail address that you have associated with your Field Trip account. We will respond with a confirmation e-mail when all of the data have been permanently deleted.
